Moonlighting on the Internet – Book Review

I just got done reading Moonlighting on the Internet by Yanik Silver. This is a great book primarily helpful for individuals looking to sell information products online. What I liked most about the book was how many real-life examples and case studies were used. It really allowed me to see how average people from all walks of life were doing selling information products and not just more random tips from single Internet marketing elitist.

Although this book is a few years old, most of the information and tips are still very relevant. However, I did kind of skip the eBay and Yahoo! stores sections, so I can’t say much about them. I was mostly looking for a book to help me sell some great information products I have in the works for next year. I found this book recommended by several other online marketers, with them especially giving kudos to the free sales letter template included in there.

There are five major parts to the Moonlighting on the Internet book:

1. Selling Digitally Delivered Information
2. Where to “Steal” Your Bestselling Idea
3. Affiliate Marketing
4. Yahoo! Stores and E-Commerce Stores
5. Blogging

With some sections written by other high-profile online marketers such as Darren Rowse.

I was primarily interested in Section #1, which I read word for word, and skimmed through most of the other sections. If you are looking to sell your first information product, or need some help selling your current information products; then the Moonlighting on the Internet book is a must read!
