This tutorial will show you how to use the ‘Keyword Tool’ to find helpful keywords for your website.

1. When you first log-in to the SEOrankings member tools, you’ll be taken to your ‘Site Dashboard’.
2. From there, you can click on the ‘Keyword Basket’ box.
3. Or select ‘Keyword Tool’ from the drop-down menu.
4. Simply enter a keyword phrase to get suggestions.
5. After the keywords load, you can ‘add them to your keyword basket’.
6. View the number of monthly Google searches.
7. See the Adwords bid competition.
8. And analyze each keyword’s trend to see when it’s searched for most often throughout the year.
9. Now click the ‘Spy on competitors’ tab.
10. Here you can enter a competitor’s website address to see some of the top keywords they’re targeting.
11. Now click on the ‘Suggestions from Analytics’ tab.

You’ll need to connect your Google Analytics account to view this report, but once you do, you’ll find some very helpful data, because it comes directly from the traffic your site is already receiving.

It’s usually a lot easier to increase the rankings of a keyword that’s already sending you good traffic, than it is ranking well for a completely new one. You should be able to find some really easy wins here.

12. Now click on the ‘Keyword Basket’ tab.

This is where you manage all of your most important keywords.

The ones saved here will also be available for selection under ‘Settings’ in some of the other tools, such as the ‘Site Auditor’ and ‘Rank Checker’.

13. You can also add ‘Tags’ to your keywords for easy sorting.
14. Get tips for finding the best keywords by click on the ‘To Do’ tab.
15. Download your keywords by click the ‘Export’ tab.
16. Enter them manually by clicking the ‘Add’ tab.
17. And sort by tags using the sort menu.

Once you’ve completed setting up the ‘Keyword Tool’, a summary of your ‘Keyword Basket’ will display on the ‘Site Dashboard’.
