The simplest way to get listed in Google’s index is by adding a link from another website to yours. Yes, it’s really that simple, even Google says so. So how do you going about doing that?

Here are 5 quick and easy ways to get your website listed:

  1. Add a link to it from your profile page on networks such as or
  2. Add a link to it from your personal or business blog
  3. Ask a friend to put a link on one of their web pages pointing back to your new website
  4. Create and submit an ad on or with a link pointing back to your website
  5. Submit a free press release regarding your new site and include a link pointing back to it

In some cases Google will index your website within a couple of days, but it can take several weeks to months depending on how often the Googlebot crawls the web pages linking back to your site.
